TENDER NOTICE
No. 1/2008
THE
COMMISSIONER OF CENTRAL EXCISE : MUMBAI-I INVITES SEALED TENDERS ON BEHALF OF
THE PRESIDENT OF INDIA FOR ‘HOUSEKEEPING SERVICES’ IN THE DEPARTMENTAL GUEST HOUSE at Aksa Beach, Near INS Hamla, Madh Jetty Road, Malad (W), Mumbai.
I.
Description of work :-
(A)
General Services on Daily Basis :-
i) Preparing and serving of tea/coffee to
guests. Food to be obtained from outside
and supplied if the guests
request. Costs to be recovered from
guests.
ii) Dusting and cleaning of all
furnitures and fixtures like tables, chairs, racks,
almirahs,
sofa-sets, fans, and applying dettol liquid to
telephones.
iii) Cleaning of pantry area, wiping
and cleaning of wooden formica and glass
surfaces, window sills and
frames and plant pots and removal of stagnant
water.
iv)
Handing over / taking over by the outgoing/incoming attendant should be
carefully made, of the
guests, household articles, food and groceries.
(B)
Thorough cleaning on weekly basis (on Saturdays/Sundays) :-
i) Cleaning
of toilets with necessary chemicals and collecting/disposing of
garbage separately for wet and dry from all rooms.
ii)
Internal and external cleaning of window panes, doors and fans.
iii) Cleaning of venetian
blinds, ceilings, walls, AC duct, grills and beams.
iv) Cleaning of entire floorspace, glasses and pantry with detergents.
II.
Cleaning Materials :-
This office will provide all the necessary cleaning materials.
III.
Terms & Conditions :-
1. BIDDER/S PROVIDING SIMILAR SERVICE TO OTHER GOVERNMENT DEPARTMENTS
WILL BE GIVEN PREFERENCE.
2. BIDDER/S SHOULD BE PAYING
MINIMUM WAGES TO HIS EMPLOYEES AS PRESCRIBED BY THE STATE GOVERNMENT.
3. BIDDER SHOULD STATE THE LUMPSUM AMOUNT HE
WOULD CHARGE ON
MONTHLY
BASIS.

4. ON DAYS WHEN GUESTS ARE PRESENT, SERVICES MAY
BE REQUIRED FOR
TWO
SHIFTS / ROUND THE CLOCK. IT IS EXPECTED
ON AN AVERAGE THAT
FOR EIGHT DAYS IN A MONTH, GUESTS WILL BE
PRESENT.
5. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE DULY REGISTERED WITH ALL THE REQUIRED
STATUTORY AUTHORITIES, LIKE SERVICE TAX ETC.

Mode of submissions of bids :-
The sealed tenders shall be addressed to :-

The bidders are required to submit
two bids, i.e., technical and commercial.
In the technical bid, the bidder will provide details about his
experience in the field, the other organisation for which he is providing such
services, details regarding compliance of statutory laws, number of persons
proposed to be deployed, etc., and in the commercial/financial bid he will
submit the quotation for his charges. It
should be written boldly on top of both the envelopes as ‘TECHNICAL BID’
and ‘FINANICAL BID’. Both the
envelopes should be submitted in a single sealed cover duly addressed and superimposed
with words ‘ QUOTATIONS FOR TENDER 1/2008 - AKSA G.H. ’ on top.
The service providers will be short listed on the basis of their technical
competency after opening of technical bids.
Financial bids of only the bidders who are short-listed on the basis of
Technical Bid will be opened and the bid with lowest quotation among the opened
bids will normally be approved.
THE LAST DATE FOR RECEIPT OF SEALED
TENDER IS 30.06.08 TILL 1600 Hrs.
Bids received later than the stipulated date will not be considered
under any circumstances. This office
reserves the right to reject any tender, even the lowest one, without assigning
any reasons thereof.
